Marilyne Blais’ own work is the best argument for her teaching: wheel-thrown geometric forms somewhere between Art Deco, Bauhaus and Memphis, coated in airbrushed colour gradients — technically demanding glaze work that the Berlin press aptly described as »beyond beige«. Learn with her in Neukölln and you learn from someone who has produced and sold under her own label since 2017.
The course structure is the real find: the four-week beginners course isolates skills week by week — first throwing, then trimming, then glazing — instead of attempting everything at once. A six-week intermediate course builds on top; the entry point is a 2.5-hour taster. All materials are included in the course prices.
Her path began in Canada — visual-arts studies in Montréal and Vancouver spanning printmaking, fibre and sculpture — and she has worked in Berlin since 2018; her pieces are stocked at The Botanical Room, among others.
