The essentials first
CourseBlocks is a purely editorial directory. There are no user accounts, no cookies, no advertising networks and no cross-site tracking. Fonts are served from our own server, not from Google or other third parties. Personal data is processed only to the technically necessary extent described below.

2. Hosting (Cloudflare)
This website is hosted as a static site by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”) and delivered via its global network. When a page is requested, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, in particular the IP address, date and time of access, the page requested and the user agent (browser identifier). These server logs are required to deliver the pages and to defend against attacks, and they are not combined with other data sources.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and performant operation). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Details: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
3. Analytics (Plausible Analytics)
For reach measurement we use Plausible Analytics by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia (EU). Plausible works without cookies and without cross-device recognition: the IP address is not stored but only flows, truncated, into a daily changing identifier that cannot be reversed. Only aggregated data is collected — page views, referrer, country, browser and device type — and at no point can we identify an individual person.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in privacy-friendly statistics without a consent banner). Details: Plausible Data Policy.
4. Booking redirects (“/go/” links)
Every studio’s booking link (“Book at studio”) runs through an internal redirect address (/go/…). When you click it, we register the event “outbound_click” with the studio’s short name server-side with Plausible; in doing so your IP address and user agent are transmitted to Plausible, solely so the click can be counted as a distinct visit. The same processing as under section 3 applies: no storage of the IP address, no profiling. You are then redirected to the studio’s booking page.
The respective studio is responsible for the data processing on its own pages (e.g. its booking systems); its privacy policy applies there. The legal basis for our click counting is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in demonstrating how many interested visitors we refer to a studio).
5. Contact by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, we process your details to handle the enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once the enquiry is closed and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.
6. Your rights
You have the right vis-à-vis the controller to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21).
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Responsible for Berlin: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
