Teaches at claï studio · Prenzlauer Berg

“The course rhythm follows material and memory at once: centering on consecutive days, then a drying week — learning happens in the order clay and body allow.”

Stefanie Opitz (née Lennartz) designed spaces before vessels: after studies in architecture and European business she has worked full-time with clay since 2021. Her EDDA and AGATA tableware lines — thin-walled, cleanly drawn, made from Westerwald clays — visibly carry the architectural schooling forward. In her teaching it became a remarkably considered course structure that takes muscle memory more seriously than any weekly schedule: two days back to back first, then the material’s drying week.
